Gravesend has excellent transport links, from Gravesend railway station there is a high speed link (23 minutes) to St.Pancras. Also 4 trains an hour to London Charing Cross or in the opposite direction to Strood, Rochester & Sittingbourne with good connections to Ramsgate,Canterbury, Maidstone & Dover. Ebbsfleet International is on the doorstep with multiple high speed services between London St.Pancras, Paris & Brussels. Gravesham is linked well via the A2 to the motorway network. It’s a busy area for road traffic, close to the M25 and Dartford Crossing which is notorious for delays.

Other cosmopolitan recommendations include the  RM Restaurant and Pricilla’s Pantry. By the historic pier is The Three Daw’s, an excellent place to enjoy some wine or beer and watch the river go by. The hotel with the most convienient location for the A2 is the Travelodge but the Premier Inn Gravesend Central,  the  Best Western Manor and the Premier Inn Gravesend Singlewell are all handy for the A2 Trunk road. A few miles away is The Inn on the Lake which is also on the A2 but less central to Gravesend. For the railway station and town centre the Overcliffe Hotel and The Jolly Drayman are more conveniently situated.
